WHO is the PROFESSOR for this course?




Dara Fields MSc, APRN, CNM has been practicing midwifery since graduating from Columbia University in 2008. She has had the honor of serving families of the Navajo Nation, working with traditional parteras in the Andes mountains, and practicing western healthcare in both the community & hospital settings. She founded a thriving integrative practice and has worked as adjunct faculty for nursing and medical schools in both clinical and didactic education. Her passion for midwifery and resident education is apparent through her numerous teaching awards. Dara additionally holds a B.A. in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology. She brings a sociocultural approach to curriculum development that truly sets her teaching apart.

Dara also has two beautiful children, both born at home and a husband who truly embraces wholehearted living. He’s also your IT guy so y’all be nice 😉
